Day-long dance programme held
Rajamahendravaram: The day-long massive dance programme was conducted at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here on Sunday, which enthralled the audience. As many as 333 dancers across the state performed various dance forms such as Kuchipudi, Bharat Natyanm, Andhra Natyam and folk dances.
The programme ‘Nrutya Bharathi’ was jointly conducted by the Bharat Arts Academy and the ABC Foundation. Various cultural programmes impressed the audience. The programme was commenced with Ranga Pooja by noted Kuchipudi dance teacher Pasumarthi Srinivasa Sarma and troupe.
The disciples of famous Kuchipudi dance masters Dr CH Srilakshmi, Reddy Umarani, Raja Rajeswari Devi, Y Deepika, P Padmaja, V Gopal, Badrnadh, CHNSS Deekshitha, KV Lakshmi Devi, DK Vijaya Lakshmi, PB Kumari, KV Jyothi, Phaninmai, KP Kumar, O Lalitha, K Sai Srivani, A Anjanayulu and Andhra Natyam teacher A Chandra Sekhar took part.
The Bharat Arts Academy president, K Lalitha Rao and the ABC Foundation president Dr KV Ramana Rao supervised the programme. World record personalities Kala Venkateswara Rao, Peddoju Srinivas, Palli Srinivasulu Naidu, A Thandra, Thandra Vijay Raja and many others were present.
