QIS students conduct cancer awareness programme

Ongole: The students from QIS College of Pharmaceutical Sciences conducted an awareness programme on cancer disease to the walkers on Rangarayudu Tank in Ongole on the occasion of World Cancer Day on Sunday.

The college secretary and correspondent, Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy said that the college students explained about various types of cancers including blood cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and bone cancers to the people. They also explained that the cancers can be identified in early stages, the methodologies involved in the process and how they help in treating the cancer very effectively, he added.

Kalyan Chakravarthy said that the pharmacy college principal Dr D Dakshinamurthy and pharmacy practice department officer Dr G Pitchaiah overseen the awareness camp.
