Employees call for Chalo Collectorate on Feb 10

Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of Pension Sadhana Samiti, a joint platform of state and Union government employees, teachers and contributory pension scheme employees associations and unions, called for a rally cum protest, Chalo Collectorate on February 10.

At a meeting held with the representatives of various associations and unions like APNGOs Association, APUTF, APTF, STU, PRTU, APCPS Employees Association, the Pension Sadhana Samiti released the wall poster for the protest on February 10. 

Bandi Srinivasa Rao, convener of the Pension Sadhana Samiti of Prakasam district Unit announced that the joint platform was formed to fight against the contributory pension system and demand immediate announcement of regular pension system for the state and Union government employees in the state.

He said that the platform was constituted as per the minutes of the meeting held on December 16 last year in Vijayawada. He said that pension was also a right to the employees and it cannot be considered like an extra benefit to the retired employees. He said that the government was planning to impose the CPS to the pensioners also through the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority ordinance and asked the employees to come forward to show solidarity to the employees under CPS.

K Sarath Babu, secretary of the AP NGOs Association Prakasam district unit said that with the united spirit of all employees, the protests held on January 9 were a big success across the state. He called for the similar effort from the employees on February 10 in the rallies and protests at the collectorates in all districts.
