BC students storm Somu’s residence

Rajamahendravaram: Tension prevailed at the house of BJP MLC Somu Veerraju, when a group of BC Student Association members tried to stage dharna at his house, protesting against the Central government's attitude in not sanctioning funds to the state in the Union Budget. Meanwhile, stones were hurled at each other and the police stopped the association members at a point near the house. 

The BJP activists led by Bommula Dutt was in the house of MLC Somu Veerraju and the MLC was not in the house at that time. The police intervened and sent the association members from there. The agitators also went to BJP office but the MLC was not available there.

BC Students Association president M Durga Yadav said that the Central government had cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh without giving even a single paisa in the last budget also. For four years, the BJP government was showing step-motherly attitude towards the state and not sanctioning funds to any scheme or project as promised in AP Bifurcation Act. The agitators said people were watching the developments and teach a lesson to BJP in the ensuing elections. They asked the Central government not to test the patience of the people in the state.
