Collector’s send-off to sports team

Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar on Thursday expressed hope that the Guntur team would win in the state revenue employees sports meet to be held in the Kakinada from February 9 to 11. A team of 93 members going to Kakinada from Guntur met the Collector.

Speaking on the occasion, he urged the team to win the sports meet and get name and fame to the district.  He conveyed his  greetings to the Guntur district team.  He said that while five players were in-charge, the remaining players in the team would participate  in the sports meet. He explained significance of sports. He said that those who participate in the sports meet would be active and healthy and reminded that the state government was giving priority to sports.  He said that sports would bring out innate talent in the players and get recognition to them.
