Guntur: Students under the banner of Telugu Nadu Students Federation staged a protest at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur on Thursday, demanding  that the Central government fulfill all  the assurances mentioned in the state bifurcation  act.

TNSF state adviser A Tulasi Rama Krishna said that the Centre did not  mention about railway zone,  steel factory at Kadapah, Dugarajapatnam  Port and not allocated sufficient  funds for the construction of the  state capital and did injustice to the state in its budget. He said the Union Budget for  the year 2018-19 disappointed the  people of AP as it ignored interests of the state.  He demanded that the Centre extend a helping hand to state for its overall development.
