‘‘Communication skills key for effective public speaking’’
Ongole: To speak effectively and communicate better in public, one must shed fear and inhibitions, said the speakers at the free training programme on ‘Effective Public Speaking’ organised by the Brilliant Computer Education Institute at their Anjaiah road campus in Ongole on Sunday.
The well-known trainer on communication skills and head coach of JCI India, GL Manohar explained to the students about the techniques and methods to groom them for a better speech in the session. He asked the students to take the first step to speak and present their version confidently to the listeners.
The chief guest and Ongole traffic DSP, K Venugopal said that the communication skills were very much required for the students in the present days of competitive world. He asked them to follow traffic guidelines while driving as they follow best methods to effectively communicate in future.
Shaik Nyamatulla Basha, chairman of the Brilliant Computer Educations Institutes said that there were many candidates losing better opportunities as they do not possess communication skills. Though they were sound in knowledge and expertise, many people were unable to explain what they know and how they were going to achieve a task. A lot of people fear or shy to speak in the public but this training programme would help them to deliver a speech by winning over stage fear. He thanked the trainer Manohar for training their students on this important skill in life.
Another trainer Dr Ravi Chandra, JCI ZVP Nageswara Rao, JCI SMART President Sivakumar, IP Zone President Sekhar Babu, Brilliant Institute teaching and non-teaching staff also participated in the programme along with the students.
