Awareness programme on Deworming Day held
Chirala: An awareness programme on National Deworming Day was held at St Marks Lutheran College in Chirala on Monday. The college principal, Dr YK Ramaiah and critical care experts from Sri Kamakshi Care Hospital explained the students about the worms in stomach, their affect and the remedies to control them.
Dr Nageswara Rao said that everyone should keep hygiene as a habit and have a deworming tablet for every six months. Dr Suresh said that the pinworms would cause anemia and the women should use the tablet to avoid suffering from it. MD of the Kamakshi Care Hospital, Dr T Devaraju said that it was the responsibility of the students to create awareness on the worms in stomach to the family members and neighbors and see them deworm their body.
The NSS Programme director, Sivarao, PET Sagar, PP unit health assistant Padmavathi and others also participated in the programme.
