Thousands witness Amareswara Swamy Kalyanam

Guntur: Balachamundeswari Sameta Amareswara Swamy Kalayanam Mahostavam was performed at Amareswara Swamy temple in Amaravati in the wee hours of Wednesday. Vedic pandits explained significance of the Amareswara Swamy Vivaha Mahotsavam which concluded on Wednesday morning. This progarmme was useful to the devotees who observe jagarana on  the occasion of Maha Sivaratri.

The temple authorities performed the Vivahamahotsavam after perofrming Eka Dasa Rudrabhishekam and Laksha Bilwarchana in the temple on the occasion of Maha Sivaratri festivities on Tuesday. Later, on Wednesday morning, celestial riding was conducted on Nandi near the Amareswra Swamy temple. A large number of devotees participated in the Siva Kalyanam and celestial riding. Devotees believe that those facing difficulties in getting married, will watch Siva Kalayanam to get married at the earliest.

Meanwhile, a large number of devotees made their presence at Trikoteswara Swamy temple at Kotappakonda on the occasion of Maha Sivaratri. Lakhs of devotees visited the temple and performed pujas and abhishekams seeking to fulfill their wishes. Devotees formed serpentine queues from the wee hours of Tuesday. The temple revibrated with Om Nama  Sivaya Mantra. The devastanam authorities  performed special pujas and abhishekams since early morning and distributed teerdham and prasadam to the devotees.

Similarly, special pujas were performed at Bramaramba Sameta Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Pedakakani in Guntur district. The devastanam authorities performed abhishekams and special  pujas to the presiding deity Mallikarjuna Swamy. A large number of devotees  visited  the temple and performed  pujas  seeking to fulfill their wishes. The police made security arrangements at the temple.
