Writer Olga among others selected for Spoorthy Awards

Guntur: Bommidala Sri Krishna Murthy Foundation will present Spoorthy Awards for the year 2017, to those who rendered meritorious services in various fields in the country at a programme to be held at Sri Venkateswara Vignan Mandir here on February 25. 

Addressing a press conference held here on Sunday, Spoorthy Awards jury chairman and former judge of AP High Court Justice Ambati Lakhsmana Rao said that they have selected writer Olga (Popuri Lalitha Kumari) for her outstanding contribution to Telugu literature. Kuchibotla Anand, chairman, CEO Silicon Andhra, USA has been selected for education field. 

He is working hard to highlight significance of Kuchipudi dance in USA. Bala Teresa Singareddy for contribution to rural development. Similarly, KM Yadav, an RTI activist in UP, has been picked up for social service.

Supreme Court judge Justice Lavu Nageswara Rao will be  the chief guest of  the programme.  Deputy Speaker in the State  Legislative Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad will also participate in the programme.Bommidala Krishna Murthy Foundation chairman Bommidala Krishna was also present.
