Giddalur MLA Pagadala Ramaiah passes away

Giddalur: Former MLA of Giddalur and man of masses Pagadala Ramaiah passed away in the early morning of Monday, at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad. Ramaiah, aged 72 years, known for his people-centric politics and welfare-oriented approach, was from Chinagalipalle village in Racharla mandal. 

He started his career as the Sarpanch of the village and gathered love and confidence of the local public to move ahead step by step. He worked as the district president of Congress party for 12 years and secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee. He was elected as the MLA of Giddalur in 2004 and worked for the development of the constituency.

The family members shifted the body of Ramaiah to the native village Chinagalipalle in the morning. The present Giddalur MLA Muthumula Ashok Reddy, former MLA Anna Venkata Rambabu, MLC Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, YSR Congress general secretary Balineni Srinivas Reddy and other leaders paid rich tributes to Ramaiah. 

The last rituals were done at the Chinagalipalle by his sons amid thousands of followers and local leaders the same evening.
