Valmiki statue unveiled at Gundavaram
Guntur: Minister for Housing Kalva Srinivas unveiled the idol of Valmiki at Gundavaram under Cherbrolu mandal of Guntur district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that while political parties were using Valmiki Boyas for gaining political mileage, the government established its real concern for his community by absorbing him in the state Cabinet, he claimed.
He informed that Valmikis should be grateful to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and support TDP in the coming elections.
He alleged that a regional party in Rayalaseema worked against the interests of the Valimiki Boyas and added that at present Valmiki Boyas population in the state reached 30 lakh and explained the significance of Valmiki Boyas.
He said that Valimiki penned Ramanayanam which is guiding relationship in the life and reminded that relationship between father and son, wife and husband, brothers is clearly explained in the Ramanayam. “We are proud because Valmiki born in Hindus,” he added.
MLA Dhulipala Narendra Kumar said the Minister Srinivas did work hard to become a minister. He asked Valmiki Boyas to draw inspiration from him.
