Psychological disorders more among teenagers
Rajamahendravaram: People from various walks of life, mainly teenagers have been approaching Psychological Counselling Clinics (PCC) to come out from their problems like depression, stress and strain. Many PCCs are busy with patients these days.
Speaking to ‘The Hans India’ here on Monday, Anjali Psychological Counselling Clinic chief GK Gitanjali said that there were many counselling systems such as child counselling, educational counselling, family counselling, counsellnig for negative thinking, counselling for psychological depression, counselling for anger management, awareness counselling for parents and counselling for psychological problems.
Moreover, treatment is also available for phobias reduction, stress management and cognitive behavior. The clinic takes care of personality development, personality tests along with student educational problems.
People mainly, teenagers are fascinated by whatever they watched or interested and they not even hear their parents. Through counseling, the problem can be cured. Relating to behavior counselling, the doctors should replicate what they do, which gives good results, she said.
So far, about 5,000 councillings were given to the patients and participated in many group counsellings. The women should increase self-confidence among them, which helps to come out from many phobias, stress and strain. As part of psychological counselling, based on the problem some needs medication, some others need only counselling and in some cases both medication as well as counselling needed, she averred.
She underlined the need to think positively which helps in reducing cognitive vibrations. At present, there was no scope for children to play sports and games in the schools, which are throwing students into depression. She underlined the need to spare some time for sports every day which boost self-confidence among them, she added.
Meanwhile, PCCs are playing key role in bringing the people and teenagers to normal stage through counselling from depression, stress and strain.
