Japan tour to help develop Amaravati into smart city
Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar, has said his traffic system study in Japan will be useful to develop state capital as smart city. He addressed a press meet here on Wednesday night. Speaking on this occasion, he said that they had studied sanitation and traffic system in Japan.
Kona Sasidhar, Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ch Anuradha were among the team of officials who visited Japan from February 12 to 19. They studied traffic system and sanitation. He said that they had studied on state capital development also.
Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao said that traffic awareness was more in Japan and there were no traffic jams and traffic violations. “We will create awareness among the people on traffic rules and implement the Japan system,” he said. He felt that there was no need to create awareness on traffic since childhood.
GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha said that in Japan, sanitation was being maintained in a planned way and there was need to create awareness among the people in Guntur city, to improve sanitation apart from beautification of the city.
