This ‘chaiwala’ wants to become filmmaker

Rajamahendravaram: ‘Chaiwala’ Narendra Modi has inspired another ‘chaiwala’ who wants to become a film producer. The dreamer, Narchala Venkatesh (22) studied up to fifth standard and discontinued his studies in the year 2008. 

He sells tea and coffee on his bike in the city and also producing short films. Speaking to ‘The Hans India’ here on Thursday, he said that due to financial problems he stopped his studies. So far he produced 45 short films with eight minutes to 20 minutes duration. It costs between Rs 600 to Rs 6,000 to make short films basing on the subject, he said.

The short films such as Aa Roju, Do Not Light, Anukokunda Oka Roju are some of the short films.  Now, he is planning to produce a short film on the problems of the farming fraternity. There are many stories for short films and some were kept pending due to monetary problems, he added.

All the short films were uploaded on You Tube. So far, about 50,000 people viewed the films. “My inspiration is noted film director Puri Jaganndh and I want to work under him. Some short films were sent to Puri Jagannadh.
