‘LPG results in increased production of goods’

Vijayawada: In the era of globalisation fuelled by rapid growth in technology, it is widely acknowledged that there is an increasing demand for global business, said Acharya Nagarjuna University Arts and Science College principal Prof Noor Basha Abdul.

A national seminar on ‘Global Business -A Paradigm Shift’ was organised by the UG and PG Departments of Commerce and Management of Maris Stella College on the college premises here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Noor opined that the Liberalistion, Privatisation and Globalisation (LPG) had led to the increased production of goods and services according to the needs in the global markets. A paradigm shift in international business had brought a vibrant change among the international as well as domestic business houses, he added.

The college principal Dr Rekha welcomed the gathering and said that the seminar intends to facilitate sharing of knowledge among the industrialists, academicians, research scholars and students related to wide areas of commerce and management. Correspondent Sr Sleeva, Srinidhi Institute of Science and Technology, Hyderabad director Dr A Subhananda Rao, about 20 delegates and students of MBA, B Com and faculty of Commerce and Business Management participated in the programme.
