Meet on Indian Writings in English begins

Guntur: MLC AS Rama Krishna said Sanskrit is base Indian literature for all the languages. Foreigners who realised significance of Indian style of living, have been respecting our culture and literature, he said.

He inaugurated a two-day international symposium on ‘Novel Issues in Indian Writing in English’ at JKC College on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he reminded Swamy Vivekananda, Girish Kannad, Ravindranath Tagore, Arundhati Roy and other authors whose works had been translated in other languages. He stressed on the need to protect Indian literature.

Nagarjuna Education Society president Dr Kondabolu Basavapunnaiah informed that while NES was celebrating golden jubilee celebrations, JKC College English Department had been conducting a symposium. The symposium organiser Naga Suseela said that literature development was part of language development and urged the youth to study literature. JKC College principal Dr I Nageswara Rao was also present.
