Extra skills help in getting jobs, students told
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education chairman Prof S Vijayarama Raju urged the students to do hard work to achieve their goals. He addressed a meeting held at Vignan Nirula Mahila Engineering College at Palakalur in Guntur on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, he urged the students to develop skills to get better placements in the competitive world and added that bookish knowledge was not enough. AP Skill Development Corporation was imparting training to improve skills to youth to get jobs, he said and appealed to them to avail the facility provided by the government.
He requested the youth do hard work to achieve their goals, get name and fame to the state. “We have to create opportunities for ourselves,” he added. Uco Bank assistant general manager Radha Krishna responded positively for sanctioning education loans to the students. Vignan Education Institutions chairman Dr Lavu Rattiah advised the students to develop skills in other fields to get better placements in the competitive world.
