Irrigation projects to be finished on time

Rajamahendravaram: Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao made it clear that they are taking necessary measures to complete all the irrigation projects in the state on time. He inspected the Godavari Lift Scheme works at Purushottapatnam here on Sunday.

Speaking on this occasion, Uma promised that they would complete all the projects in the state. He further informed that the Purushottapatnam lift scheme works would be completed by the end of March and they release water to the Yeleru Reservoir on full scale. The Godavari water would be provided to Visakhapatnam from the Yeleru Reservoir. 

The integration of rivers had been done with Pattiseema. With the Pattiseema, the government had saved the Ryots of Krishna district with Godavari water. It would provide water after completing the Polavaram in 2019. He suggested the engineers to speed up their works at Purushottapatnam. Irrigation SE Srinivasa Rao, EE Gangadhara Rao, DE Venkata Rao accompanied the minister.
