Develop interest in science, students told

Kakinada: Mandal Educational Officer (MEO) Sankhavaram S V Ramana said that the development of the nation is possible only with science.

He participated as the chief guest at National Science Day celebrations organised by the APCOST (Andhra Pradesh Council of Science and Technology) at the Mandala Parishad Upper Primary School at Konthangi Kothuru, Sankhavaram Mandal here on Wednesday.

Speaking on this occasion, the MEO urged the students that they should develop interest in science. He further informed them that CV Raman was the country’s proud scientist. Speaking on this occasion, school headmaster KVK Maheswara Rao suggested the students that they should learn science through experiments. He also said that the lifestyle of humans become easier with the development of science. 

APCOST Coordinator Kesari Srinivasa Rao said that the government should allot funds to establish science laboratories in all the schools. Later, competitions were conducted for the students in essay-writing and painting. MEO Ramana distributed the prizes to the winning students in essay-writing and painting. Teachers Udaya Kumar, S Krishna, L Ananda Raju, Bhavani, Babu Rao and others participated.
