Nandi Drama Competitions from Mar 11

Kakinada: The APSFTTDC (Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theatre Development Corporation) General Manager, MVLN Sesha Sai said that the Nandi Drama Competitions-2017 would be conducted in Kakinada and Rajahmundry cities from March 11 to 28.

He discussed the arrangements of Nandi Drama Festival with the members of ‘The Young Men’s Happy Club’ here on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, Sesha Sai informed that 3,000 drama artistes from 117 drama communities would participate in the competitions. Not only the artistes from the twin Godavari districts but also artistes from Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram would participate in the competitions. 

He informed that the competitions would be conducted at Dantu Kala Kshetram at Kakinada and at Anam Kala Kendram at Rajahmundry. He said that they were conducting these drama competitions at Tenali, Nandyal and Kurnool along with Kakinada and Rajahmundry.

He announced that they were going to present cash rewards for participants. A cash prize of Rs 30,000 for Padya Natakam,  Rs 20,000 for drama, Rs 15,000 for a skit or for a play would be given. A sum of Rs 85 lakh would be presented to the artistes in the state. He said that they had provided free accommodation and food facilities to all the artistes. 

The competitions would start at 10 am everyday from March 11 to 28. He also informed that under the aegis of the APSFTTDC Chairman Ambica Krishna and Managing Director Venkateswara Rao, they made extensive arrangements. I and PR Deputy Director M Francis, Young Men’s Happy Club president Dantu Bhaskar, Deputy Manager M Srinivasa Nayak and others participated.
