Dwaraka Tirumala temple witnesses huge rush
Dwaraka Tirumala: The famous pilgrim centre Dwaraka Tirumala was fully packed with the pilgrims and the marriage parties on Sunday night. As Sunday is an auspicious day for marriages, hundreds of couple entered into wedlock in the presence of Lord Sri Venkateswara.
Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam of Dwaraka Tirumala made elaborate arrangements for the marriages at the temple. The pilgrim centre was decorated with colourful lighting in the night. The marriage parties reached Dwaraka Tirumala in the evening and offered prayers to Lord Sri Venkateswara at the temple. Around 7.49 hours in the night, most of the marriages took place in the presence of Lord Sri Venkateswara.
Around 150 couples registered the place in the temple for the marriage. The Devasthanam had received Rs 30,000 towards the allotment of place in the temple. Other couples who did not book the marriage halls conducted the marriages at the Aniveti Mandapam on the east side of the temple, Srihari KalaThoranam, Paduka Mandapam, and temple staircase. As Monday early hours were also auspicious muhurat, the marriage parties reached the temple late in the night on Sunday.
