Identity comes with education: Rajappa
Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa has said identity in life comes only through education. He participated as the chief guest at the award distributing ceremony for the girls in rural areas at SVR Convention Hall here on Sunday.
After lighting the lamp to mark the inaugural, the minister said that education plays a key role in shaping the future of the students. Education had become an essential thing to all the girls in rural areas these days. The TDP government was implementing many schemes to protect and encourage girl education. In this connection, Rajappa appreciated Coromandel International Limited for their contribution to encourage the girls in education by presenting scholarships to the meritorious students.
He informed that since 2014 onwards the Coromandel was presenting scholarships to the girl students. The firm was encouraging the rural girls as part of corporate social responsibility and presenting cash rewards to the girls who secured first and second places in their ninth standard. Rajappa informed that this year, the Coromandel was giving scholarships to 180 girl students from 56 ZP schools in rural areas. Kakinada Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi and ZP Chairman Naveen Kumar also spoke at the meeting and presented the scholarships to the students.
