Left parties support agitation for SCS at Delhi

Ongole: The AP Pratyeka Hoda, Vibhajana Hamila Sadhana Samiti with its member parties CPI, CPM and other public organisations demanded that the Centre accord Special Category Status and fulfil all promises made to Andhra Pradesh in bifurcation act. The leaders from the parties and organisations protested in front of the district collectorate and extended their support to the parties and fronts agitating at New Delhi for the SCS to the state.

The leaders demanded that the Union government revise the Union Budget 2018 and increase the allocations to the state as per the bifurcation act and include Prakasam district in the backward districts list.

The former additional joint collector Shamsher Ahmed, Punati Anjaneyulu, CPM Prakasam district east area secretary, ML Narayana, CPI district secretary, Ch Venkateswarlu CPIML New Democracy district secretary, CPIML district secretary S Lalitha Kumari and other leaders participated in the programme along with their cadre.
