RTA registers 116.63% growth rate

Guntur: Road Transport Authority officials achieved 116.63 percent targets in vehicle checking during this year till February 2018. While the target fixed by the government was Rs 23.83 crore, the RTA officials collected RS 27.79 crore revenue and stood first place in the state. Similarly, 31.39 percent growth rate was achieved and stood first place in the state.
Similarly, Vizag district stood in second place and West Godavari district in third place in the state. The Deputy Transport Commissioner, DC Rajaratnam said that they had achieved growth rate by conducting vehicle checking in a planned way and collecting of penalties from the vehicle users passing on the roads without paying the road tax.
