MRPS thanks CM for cobblers’ pension

Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti has thanked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his gesture towards to the poor Madiga community. The MRPS leaders and members organised a Dappu Rally in Ongole thanking the chief minister and also requested him to work on the categorisation also.

The AP MRPS president, Jandrajupalli Anjaneyulu Madiga said that the chief minister had agreed to give Rs 1500 pension every month to the Madiga cobblers and Dappu artists in the state. He said that the CM also assured them to allocate a budget for Leather Industries Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh and offer welfare schemes to the poor Madiga families as per the population ratio by strictly implementing the GO No 25. The MRPS leaders conducted the Dappu rally in appreciation of the concern of the chief minister towards them and thanked him.

At the same time they reminded the SC categorisation promise made to them by the TDP and BJP and demanded that the parties introduce the bill in favour of it in the ongoing parliament session. If they fail, the Madiga community would not vote for them in 2019, the MRPS leaders warned both the parties.
