QISCET student bags silver in javelin throw

Ongole: A second year Electronics and Communications Engineering student at the QIS College of Engineering and Technology won the silver medal in the JNTU- Kakinada Athletics Meet for Central Zone, announced the college secretary and correspondent, Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy and Nidamanuri Educational Trust chairman Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao.

Nageswara Rao said that D Manoj Kumar, a second year ECE student won the silver medal in the javelin throw competition held at Aditya Engineering College in the Inter-college Athletics Meet held for the Central Zone of JNTU Kakinada. He appreciated Manoj Kumar for exhibiting better performance among athlets from other colleges.

Nageswar Rao said that the students should also spare some time for sports so that they would be fit physically and mentally. The college principal Dr Kilari Veeraswamy and community and sports director Dr A Vasu Babu also joined to appreciate the student.
