Budget aims at welfare of poor, claims TDP

Kakinada: Telugu Desam leaders expressed their joy over the state budget here on Thursday. In a press release, Kakinada Lok Sabha member Thota Narasimham informed that Finance Minister Yanamala Rama Krishnudu had introduced the state budget of 2018-19 with Rs 1.91 lakh crores. 

Importance was given to peasant’s welfare and allocated Rs 12,352 crore for the agriculture sector like never before in the state. The MP explained that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a clear commitment to Polavaram Project and allocated Rs 9,000 crore to this project which was a historical move.

Another TDP leader and Vigilance Committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby) stated that their government again proved that it was for the welfare of the poor in the state.  Bobby informed that Yanamala announced pension to the aged fishermen in the current state budget and further said that Rs 1,000 crore was allocated for Kapus and another Rs 750 crore were allocated for the students in Kapu social class. Bobby thanked the CM and Yanamala Rama Krishnudu for adhering to the welfare of the backward classes as well as the Kapus in the state budget.
