LLR Mela for women held

Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh Transport Department and NSS unit of QIS Engineering Colleges jointly organised a Learners’ License mela at the QIS campus for the women staff and girl students at the QIS College of Engineering and Technology and QIS Institute of Technology, said the colleges secretary and correspondent, Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy and Nidamanuri Educational Trust chairman Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao.

The break inspector, Naik said that driving any vehicle without having valid license was a crime and asked all women drivers to have licenses. He presented the learning licenses to the girls and women staff who had successfully cleared the LLR test. Kalyan Chakravarthy and Nageswara Rao asked the women to be careful while driving the vehicles and suggested them to wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. 

They said that if they didn’t drive the vehicle carefully, it would become a danger to them and fellow people on the road too. The Ongole RTO staff, QISCET principal Dr Kilari Veeraswamy, QISIT principal Dr CV Subbarao , QIS NSS director Dr A Vasubabu and other staff participated in the programme.
