Left parties protest against BJP, RSS vandalism
Kakinada: Seeking an end to the ‘evil acts’ of the BJP and the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), the Left parties and several people’s organisations staged a protest at Collectorate here on Thursday. They raised slogans against the BJP and RSS attitude towards the Left parties in the country. They displayed cloth banners showing their evil acts of the demolition of statues in Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu states.
Speaking on this occasion, CPM leaders alleged that the vandalism of statues of renowned persons increased in the country during BJP’s rule. They urged all sections of people to condemn such type of evil acts by the RSS-led BJP in the country. They described the evil act of ruining the Lenin statue and attacking the CPM office by the BJP activists as a coward act.
They informed that the RSS and BJP activists bulldozed the statues of Ambedkar in Uttar Pradesh and Periyar statue in Tamil Nadu. They demanded that the governments initiate severe action on the demolishers of the Lenin, Ambedkar and Periyar statues in the country. The CPM leaders, Duvva Seshu Babji, Srinivas, Palivela Veerababu, K Veerababu, Veera Lakshmi, CPI (ML) leaders J Venkateswarlu and others participated in the protest.
