Rally to mark Women’s Day organised
Rajamahendravaram: Pantham Satyanarayana Charitable Trust has organised various programmes for women in connection with International Women’s Day in Subramanya Mydanam here on Thursday. As part of it, a rally was taken out with hundreds of women from Subramanyna Mydanam to Nagadevi theatre centre. Flexes relating to great women were displayed.
Participating in the programme, Sub-Collector CM Saikanth Varma underlined the need to bring women participation up to 50 percent, who formed 50 percent in population. The women have to face quantum of challenges for which the women should be ready to face them. Many women proving their talent in various fields and advised girls to get inspiration from great women personalities.
Municipal Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju, advised the women to come openly if they were any grievances and the RMC was ready to extend support to them. The women need not fear and share their problems freely. They should not confine themselves to kitchens. There were abundant avenues to prove their mettle.
Pantham Satyananrayana Charitable Trust founder Pantham Kondala Rao said the trust was celebrating International Women’s Day to infuse confidence among women. “Any society will flourish where women are honoured. The trust is organizing many social service activities and helping the needy in society,” he added.
