SSJAC formed for the fight

Vijayawada: To fight for the Special Category Status, a Special Status Joint Action Committee (SSJAC) was formed under the leadership of Andhra Pradesh Bar Council member S Rajendra Prasad here on Friday.About 31 organisations from various fields have formed a 10-member steering committee at the meeting. The committee will strengthen by adding more number of associations in the city, demanding SCS for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The SSJAC members coined an official slogan ‘Special Category Status is Andhra’s Right’. The SSJAC leaders said that they would organise a candlelight protest on March 13 and intensify the agitation to mount pressure on the Central Government for Special Category Status. Later, they will announce their plan of action to involve more public in support of the SCS.
