Kakinada: Seeking immediate release of stipend arrears, members of AP JUDA ( Junior Doctor’s Association) staged a protest at the Government General Hospital here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the representatives of JUDAs said that they were agitated at the injustice meted out to them by the government. They informed that the JUDAs in all the medical colleges in the state were protesting for their rightful demands. They neither received the 15 percent hike in their stipends nor the outstanding stipends since 2016.

They alleged that instead of increasing the stipend as per the norms, the government did not release the old dues. They accused the government of making false promises on JUDAs issues. They condemned the attitude of the government, that it was not registering their degrees which have become a major problem for them in applying and joining in higher medical studies like PG (Post Graduate) courses in other states.

They informed that they visited the secretariat more than hundred times to implement the salary committee’s report. The committee submitted its report to the government in favour of JUDAs but in return, the government has not responded until now.

They demanded that the government act immediately to resolve their issues. They threatened the government to intensify their agitation if the government failed to release their arrears by March 15. The government should deposit their stipends before 10th of every month. They warned the government that they would not attend even emergency cases if it continue its adamant attitude in considering their problems.
