Agitation against CPS enters second day

Kakinada: Seeking abolishment of the Contributory Pension Scheme, all the members of East Godavari branch of APCPS Association continued their dharna on the second day at the Collectorate here on Sunday. 

Speaking on this occasion, APCPS members demanded that the government immediately abolish the CPS and present a resolution on the abolishment of this scheme in the Assembly meeting. They wanted the administration to resume the old pension scheme.

Speaking on this occasion, Ambajipeta MPDO Tutika Viswanadh described the CPS system as the dark law and informed that without this system, the security of 1.84 lakh employees would be at peril. He threatened to intensify agitation, if the government doesn’t abolish this scheme. 

They would not hesitate to resort to Pen Down like agitations.
JAC Chairman Buriga Aseervadam, State Secretary Gubbala Srinivas, treasurer Nandiswar, MA Aleem, Gopalam, Subrahmanyam, and employees from different departments supported and participated in the dharna.
