Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) general secretary Gidugu Rudra Raju, has said that the Congress will move no confidence motion in the Parliament against the BJP government, demanding Special Category Status.

Speaking to reporters in the party office here on Monday, he said the Congress also issue notice under Section 184 to the Central government relating to promises given in AP Bifurcation Act. The Congress never goes back on its decision relating to SCS and AICC president Rahul Gandhi had already given assurance in this regard.

Telugu Desam party (TDP) and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) cannot move no-confidence motion against BJP government as the leaders of the two parties were having many problems. All parties have given their consent for the division of the state and finally Congress became scapegoat as it was in power at that time, he said. Both TDP and BJP cheated the people of the state for four years relating to the SCS, he alleged.

Rudra Raju claimed that the Congress had made every effort to accord SCS to Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, it lost power at the Centre, he lamented. The Congress leader said that his party would organise protests at BJP offices across the state on March 14. DCC president Pantham Nanaji and other leaders were present.
