Kakinada: The APJUDAs (AP Junior Doctors Association) demanded that the government announce a date for increasing the announced hike in pay under GO No: 9 which was released in 2016.

The JUDAs continued their strike on the third day on Monday on the Government General Hospital premises. Speaking to ‘The Hans India,’ Kakinada JUDAs vice-president Dr Vandana specified that government should reconsider on its decision on the compulsory rural service for the PG students in the state.

She further told that the neighbouring state Telangana had already established a committee on this forcible rural service to PG students and realised that this decision was not good to either for the government or for the PG students.

She also said that now the Telangana government was recruiting the doctors in permanent manner instead of using their temporary services. She also informed that their state representatives were at Amaravathi to discuss with the concerned governement officials.

She also informed that the government should be flexible on releasing the stipand arrears and on registering their degrees since 2010. Vandana further informed that they would have a clear picture over their protest whether to continue it or call off it on Monday night.
