SRKR students selected of Stanford Fellowship

Bhimavaram: A few students of SRKR Engineering College here have been selected for innovation fellowship programme of the Stanford University of United States, according to the college principal, G Pardhasaradhi Varma.

The students-- MV Santosh Naidu (2nd year ECE), P Susmita (EEE-3rd year), K Krishna Chaitanya (IT 2nd year), B Priyadarsini (ECE 3rd year)-- have been selected for the fellowship programme from the college. The students are scheduled to attend the one-week-long training at the Stanford University in America from March 11.

The college secretary and correspondent, Sagi Vittal Ranga Raju, principal Pardhasaradhi Varma, Technology Centre head G Gopalakrishna Murthy congratulated the students for their achievement.

The principal said that the AP State Skill Development Centre, Google, Microsoft, SRKR Engineering College and Stanford University sponsored the students for the innovation fellowship. The students were selected by the university after three-month-long online exams through college technology centre. The training in Stanford would be held twice in a year and already the college students in two teams attended the training during last year March and October, the principal added.
