Sikhara Pratistha held at Veera Perantalamma Temple

Akiveedu: Visakha Saradapeetham Pontiff Swaroopananda Saraswathi conducted the Sikhara Pratishtha of Veera Perantalamma Temple in Velivarru village of Undi mandal on Monday. The pontiff conducted the Ekasila Dhvaja Sthamba Pratistha and the Goddess idol induction in the temple. Undi MLA Vetukuri Venkata Sivaramaraju and hundreds of villagers participated in the programme.

Addressing the devotees, Pontiff Swaroopananda Swamy regretted that most of the women were attracting towards the foreign religions and shunning the traditional saffron. He said, 

“Even we have many temples, the village deities are main for a peaceful living.”  
Aghora Swamy, Akiveedu AMC Chairman Motupalli Prasad, Gopalakrishnam Raju, Buddiyya Raju, Sarpanch Durga Rao, Temple Chairman Kallepalli Satish Raju, Executive Officer Natarajan Shanmugam, Garimella Venkata Ramana Sidhdhanthi participated in the programme.
