TDP stages protest against Centre
Bhimavaram: TDP and Telugu Yuvata workers staged a protest at Prakasham Chowk here on Monday, protesting against the Centre's attitude towards according Special Category Status Andhra Pradesh.
The Telugu Yuvata workers rallied to Prakasham Chowk in the morning and staged the protest. The TDP State Organising Secretary Mente Pardha Saradhi while addressing the workers explained the Centre’s step-motherly attitude towards the state and stated that the BJP-led government at the Centre had agreed for a special package instead of SCS to the state, which was rejected by 14th Finance Commission.
However, the Centre did not allocate funds to the State in the budget. He demanded that the Centre deliver justice to the State.
TDP town president Thota Bhogayya said that in support of the TDP MPs’ protest in the Parliament, the Telugu Yuvata had staged the protest.
Telugu Yuvata town president Maddula Ramu, TDP and Telugu Yuvata leaders Meragani Narayanamma, Indukuri Ramalingaraju, Mamidisetti Prasad, Karumuri Satyanarayana Murthy, Jampana Dhanaraj, Bokka Suribabu, Padamata Narasimha Murthy, Uppuluri Chandrasekhar, Md Shabeena Begum and others led the protest.
