57,127 students to attend SSC exams from today
Vijayawada: As many as 57,127 candidates will appear for the SSC Board examination which will commence from Thursday in Krishna district. In all 56,035 regular candidates and 1,092 private candidates will appear for the examinations at 268 various examination centres.
The exam will begin at 9.30 am and lasts till 12.15 pm. The students should reach the examination by 8.45 am, according to the Krishna District Educational Officer (DEO). The examination will be held under the supervision of 268 chief superintendents, 62 custodians, 62 chief custodians, 2,950 invigilators and 14 flying squads. The answer sheets will be kept under the safe custody at 62 police stations, the DEO said.
The students will not be allowed to carry any electronic gadgets like calculator, cell phone or smart watch inside the examination centre. All the students will be thoroughly checked before entering the examination centre. Strict action will be taken if the students are made to sit on the floor to write the examination. The police made elaborate arrangements at all the exam centres for the smooth conduct of the examination, informed Krishna District Superintendent of Police Sarvashresh Tripathi.
He said Health, Education and Transport departments should coordinate with one another and see that no inconvenience is made to the students who had been appearing for the SSC examinations. The students can lodge a complaint at the nearest police station if there is any inconvenience created to them. Section 144 will be implemented at all the examination centres across the district and Xerox and Mee-seva centres near to the examination centre will be closed during the examination time, said the police Superintendent.
