Anganwadi workers to stage ‘Chalo Vijayawada’

Kakinada: The AP Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union (AP AWHU) has called upon all the Anganwadi helpers and workers in the state to participate in ‘Chalo Vijayawada’ programme on March 19.

The union leaders released a poster of their demands here on Thursday. They protested sporting wall posters at the Collectorate. Speaking on this occasion, they demanded that the government recognise them as its employees and condemned the efforts of the government to privatise the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services). Baby Rani, Veera Lakshmi and others participated in the protest.
