SCT conducts free medical camp

Rajamahendravaram: Shelton Charitable Trust (SCT) has conducted a mega free medical camp here in Thursday, in which hundreds of people were examined. Tests were conducted relating to dental and ophthalmology ailments in the camp.

Inaugurating the medical camp, Sub-Collector CM Saikanth Varma underlined the need of free medical camps to help the poor. Stating that medical services come first in the city, he asked the trust management to continue their efforts in this regard.

Though the government is extending quality medical aid to the people the help of non-governmental organisations also needed. He congratulated trust management for conducting free medical camp. SCT vice-chairman Kodali Tanuja said as many as 500 eye surgeries were conducted as against of 1,100 patients who turned up at eye camps. About 2,000 people attended in medical camp. Free medicines were distributed in the camp.

The SCT chairman Kodali Sudhakar, ONGC Rajamahendravaram Asset Executive Director DMR Sekhar, OOMs president D Durga Bhavani and others were present.
