Non-teaching activities a burden on teachers: UTF

Kakinada: United Teachers Federation (UTF) State Audit Committee convener Sathi Raju demanded that the government stop the usage of government teachers for non-teaching activities. In this regard, the UTF members submitted a memorandum to Kajuluru MDO office superintendent Peri Bala Tripura Sundari here on Friday.

Speaking on this occasion, they said that often the government was using teaching community for non-teaching works like uploading the photos, maintenance of midday meal programme and other online works. Because of heavy work pressure, the teachers were unable to concentrate on their regular duties.

Speaking on this occasion, SSV Chalapathi of UTF alleged that the government was encouraging and committing such acts with an intention to close all the government schools. UTF mandal secretary Srinivas demanded that the government limit them only to teaching. Teachers Surya Rao, Ramakrishna, Naresh, Satyanarayana, Raju and others participated.
