Students perform at Happy Sunday

Rajamahendravaram: Various programmes were conducted in 73th Happy Sunday at Pushkar Ghat and special Ugadi songs were sung in connection with Vilambi Nama Ugadi also.

Corporation high school students conducted ‘panchanga pathanam’ followed by Sita Kalyanam dance by artistes of Kuchipudi Nrutya Nikethan. ‘Bharata Mataku Vandanam’, a song show by the corporation school of Quarrypeta area impressed the audience.

Utsav Vigraham of Kshetrapalaka of the city Lord Venu Gopala Swamy brought to Pushkar Ghat in a procession from the temple in connection with Ugadi festival. Later, students of various schools present dance performances, yoga themes  etc. Corporation Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju said that for 73 weeks, the corporation was conducting Happy Sunday with the cooperation staff and the programme would be continued in future as well.
