Protests by parties everywhere for SCS

 Guntur: Demanding Special Category Status, all political parties protested at NTR statue in Ponnur on Thursday.Addressing the gathering, the TDP Tenali municipal chairperson Sajja Hemalatha demanded that the Centre grant the SCS.

They protested in response to a call given by Pratyekahoda Sadhana Samithi which blamed the BJP government at Centre for not sanctioning SCS and alleged that the Centre had failed to keep up its election promise. The agitators warned that they would continue their fight till the SCS was given. TDP leaders Ahmed Khan, Borru Rama Rao were among those participated.

In Repalle town, YSRCP leaders under the aegis of former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana staged a protest. The YSRCP leaders protested on Puligadda Varadhi and raised slogans against the Centre for not sanctioning the SCS. They criticised the TDP for maintaining double standards. 

YSRCP leader Krishna, Jagan Yuvasena leader Balaji were present.
In Dachepalli, the leaders under the aegis of Pratyekahboda Sadhana Samithi, blocked highway at Dachepalli in  Guntur district and raised slogans against the Centre not  granting the SCS.

YSRCP, CPI, CPM, Jana Sena leaders staged the dharna on the highway. They demanded that the Centre accord SCS and keep up assurances mentioned in the state bifurcation act. They criticised that TDP and BJP had cheated the people for the last four years. They said that the people were not in a position to believe TDP anymore.

In Vinukonda, the Left leaders sat on the road and staged a dharna to register their protest. They blamed the TDP-BJP combine for cheating the people during the last four years. They raised slogans against the Prime Minister Naredra Modi.
