2-day Mega Job Mela begins
Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation started the two-day Maha Mega Job Mela at QIS Engineering Colleges on Friday.
The college secretary and correspondent, Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy and the Nidamanuri Educational Society president, Nageswara Rao said that as many as 912 candidates were selected for various jobs on the first day and asked the interested candidates to appear for the recruitment on Saturday, which is also the last day.
The DRDA project manager MS Murali, STEP CEO B Ravi Kumar, APSMFC ED Syed Sirazulla, APSSDC CGM Venkateswarlu, DM Shaik Meeravali, I&PR AD M Venkateswara Prasad participated in the programme as guests.
Nageswara Rao said that 35 companies including Tech Mahindra, GENPACT, Amazon, Polaris, Aurobindo Pharma, ISUZI, CMS, TATA, Karvy, JC Solutions HITACHI Automotives, Hinduja Global Solutions participated in the recruitment drive.
Meeravali said that about 2,800 candidates registered for the first day but only 1,618 candidates attended for the recruitment process and 912 of them were selected by various companies.
