TDP blames BJP-led govt for cash crisis in banks

Kakinada: District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby) here on Friday protested against the cashless ATMs which always display ‘No cash in ATM’ boards.

He squatted in front an ATM which has no cash. Without naming BJP-led NDA government, the TDP leader said that rulers were to blame for the cash crisis. The mindless decisions of Centre were the reasons for the unprecedented cash crisis, he alleged.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that common man was suffering because of cashless ATMs. He had visited four Andhra Bank ATMs for cash to meet a medical emergency. He experienced ‘no cash’ in almost all the Andhra Bank’s ATMs. He informed that he took cash from his friend to get out of the emergency medical situation.

Bobby alleged that all the banks were doing business with people’s money and in return, they were allowing people to suffer without cash. He alleged that banks were liberally sanctioning thousands of crores of innocent people’s money to the corporate bigwigs who leaves the country when they had to return loans. While the banks were functioning with people’s money, the same people were forced to suffer for want of money in emergency situations.

He severely criticised that the banks were imposing penalties for withdrawal of cash for more than the limited transactions. He ridiculed banks for failure to arrange cash required for the customers. Bobby called upon the public not to deposit their hard earned money in the banks. Stating that he had an account in Andhra Bank for the past 15 years, he wondered he never saw such cash crisis.
