Galla distributes ex-gratia to kin of deceased

Guntur: MP Galla Jayadev distributed ex-gratia cheques to the kin of two families at IPD Colony and Balaji Nagar in Guntur city.

He handed over Rs 5 lakh cheque each to Kolagani Padmavati and Adapala Venkateswara Rao in Old City. He assured that the government would extend claim under the Chandranna Bima scheme to the kin of the deceased and extend all kinds of help.

 He consoled the kin of the deceased and added that the government would extend necessary support to them. He informed that as soon as he got the information about diarrhoea, he alerted the higher officials to take further action. 

The government had taken steps to change the old drinking water pipelines. He claimed that diarrhoea cases were on the decline in Guntur city. He had already directed the officials to complete the pipeline changing work to avoid such incidents in future.
