Palm Sunday observed with religious fervour

 Ongole:  The Christian fraternity in Prakasam district celebrated the arrival of Holy Week by taking to the streets with the palm leaves on Palm Sunday.

The children from various Sunday Schools of churches in Ongole decorated the palm leaves with colorful flowers and organised processionsin the town. They praised Jesus Christ as the savior and announced His coming. They covered the areas Mamidipalem, Jakraiah Nagar, Cloughpet, Kabadipalem, Dandupalem, East Christianpalem like Christian majority colonies on Sunday.

Various churches and their pastors in Chirala organised processions with the believers in Jesus Christ. The Telugu Baptist Church in Yerragondapalem organised the procession from Church Center to Kolukula Center with the children. The children from the Sunday School in Valaparla of Martur mandal also organised a rally as part of Palm Sunday. The TB Church in Markapuram also held a procession with the children singing songs for the Christ.
