Cops take part in Navami celebrations
Eluru/Kamavarapukota: Srirama Navami was celebrated at Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple at East Yadavalli, known as Chinna Bhadradri in Kamavarapukota mandal on Monday. Temple in East Yadavalli was the adopted temple of Dwaraka Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam. The Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam Trust Board member, SV Nivrutha Rao and executive officer Vendra Trinadha Rao presented clothes to Lord Sri Rama.
Later, the priests performed the Sita Rama Kalyanam. Hundreds of devotees thronged the temple and offered prayers to Lord Sri Rama and Goddess Sita. They witnessed the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and his consort Sita. At Ameenapeta Reserve Police Lines in Eluru, District Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash and his wife performed the Sitarama Kalyanam in the morning at Sri Dasanjaneya Swamy Temple. They offered the Talambralu and new clothes to Lord Sri Rama. After the celestial wedding, the SP inaugurated the Chalivendram at the temple.
Eluru MP Maganti Babu, MLC Ramu Surya Roa, Additionial SP V Ratna, Armed Reserve Additional SP M Mahesh Kumar, DSP (Special Branch) Srinivasa Rao, CI S Kondala Rao, DCRB CI GVS Krishna Rao, Armed Reserve DSP VS Vasan, DSPs P Bhaskar Rao, K Eswara Rao, Pydeswara Rao, Reserve Inspector K Venkatrao and Home Guard RI Appa Rao participated in the programme.
